TTV+ Buyers: What Are They Looking For?

Luis Camacho, Content & Programming Manager at Latina TV, spoke to TTV+ about the content he’s looking for in the international market.

TTVMedia, through its TTV+ platform and backed by Eccho Rights, launched the initiative Buyers: What Are Buyers Looking For? during Miptv, to find out more about international buyers’ programming needs.

The interviews were conducted through the base of over 5,000 buyers registered on TTV+, a 24/7 online marketplace where buyers can look through catalogs from thousands of companies, and in which distributors can contact them to close businesses.

This time, we present Luis Camacho, Content & Programming Manager at Latina TV.

What type of content are you looking for?

Latina is currently a broadcast TV network and we program, in addition to a number of national hours, basically telenovelas and internacional formats.

Our basic target is family. We look for movies, series, content and formats that gather the entire family. That’s what we’re interested in when it comes to programming.

What kind of ideas or stories are you looking for to feed your network?

We mainly look for telenovelas. Latina is practically the home of the Turkish drama in Peru. And we are always looking for big formats to create big shows.

Any specific titles that have caught your eye over the last 12 months?

Over the last 12 months there have been many projects. Especially interesting for us have been Biblical series. At Latina we programmed Moses and the Ten Commandments and Jesus with excellent results. It’s been interesting to discover Turkish dramas, which have been wonderful vehicles to get closer to people, to get closer to them with a family product.
