Paramount+ acquired rights to half of all UEFA Champions League matches in each matchday, including co-exclusive rights to the final and highlights packages.

Paramount+ has been selected as the preferred bidder for part of the audiovisual rights to UEFA’s men’s club competitions in Latin America for the 2027–2031 cycle, strengthening its commitment to premium sports streaming.

According to the announcement made by UC3 — the joint venture between UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA) — alongside Relevent Football Partners, the platform secured rights in three key markets across the region: Mexico, Central America, and South America.

In all three territories, Paramount+ acquired rights to half of all UEFA Champions League matches in each matchday, including co-exclusive rights to the final and highlights packages.

In Mexico, Paramount+ will carry half of the UEFA Champions League matches, sharing co-exclusive rights to the final and offering highlights coverage, while the other half of the matches, along with full rights to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, were awarded to ESPN and Disney+.

The same model will apply in Central America and South America, where Paramount+ will share coverage of Europe’s top club competition with Disney+ and ESPN, in a rights split that combines direct-to-consumer streaming with the reach of traditional linear broadcasters in the region.

The award is part of UC3’s broader global tender process across 19 territories, which attracted strong interest from incumbent broadcasters, global digital platforms, and new market entrants. Other selected groups include Canal+, DAZN, Disney+, ESPN, Sky, and Viaplay.

The agreement positions Paramount+ as a key player in Latin America’s next cycle of premium sports rights, adding a major share of one of the most valuable and widely followed club football competitions in the world to its offering.
