While voting continues, the Primetime Emmys might be held on November 2023 or January 2024.

The 75th Primetime Emmys will not be held on September 18, 2023, as was initially planned, as result of the ongoing strikes from both the writers (WGA) and actors (SAG-AFTRA) guilds.

According to Variety, “vendors, producers and others involved with the event” are being informed that their services will need to be pushed. This includes the Creative Arts Emmys, originally slated to take place on Sept. 9 and Sept. 10.

A new date has not been determined, but Variety has previously reported that Fox is “aiming to air the show in January 2024, while the TV Academy had been pushing for a November date.”

The voting however will kept the same schedule. The nominations, led by HBO and Succession, were announced on July 12.

This is the first delay of the Primetime Emmys since 2001. That time the decision came as result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
