The Netflix original series generated the most Instagram buzz of any new show in the month, according to The Wit, while Mexican productions ¿Quién es la máscara? and El juego de las llaves ranked fifth and tenth, respectively.

Sintonía, the Brazilian original series, is the show that generated the most Instagram buzz of any new show in August, according to The WIT.

The series, which now has 795,000 followers, was created by Brazilian screenwriter KondZilla, label owner and director who has over 1.7 million Instagram followers.

The Brazilian original, which tells the story of three childhood companions who all come from the same favela of São Paulo before they grow up and part way, also led the Shows on The Rise ranking by TV Time for the first week of August.

Sintonía is not the only Hispanic series on the list, with Mexico’s ¿Quién es la máscara?, the local adaptation of the Korean singing competition format King of Mask Singer, coming in in fifth place with 62,000 followers.

In addition, fellow Mexican production, El Juego de las Llaves, a comedy that follows sexual intimacy among four couples, all of whom are friends, ranked in tenth place with 32,000 followers.

Second on The Wit’s Social List for August is FOX’s BH90210, the revival of the 1990s series, Beverly Hills, 90210, garnering 328,000 followers.

Third on the list is A Black Lady Sketch Show, which premiered on HBO in the US and features narrative sketches performed by a core cast of black women as well as celebrity guests.

E!’s Flip It Like Disick, a renovation reality series featuring Scott Disick, ranked fourth with 112,000 followers.

The rest of the list is completed by Netflix’s Hyperdrive in sixth place with 57,000 followers; Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance in seventh with 53,000 followers; Carnival Row from Amazon Prime Video in eighth with 52,000 and lastly Jerry O in ninth place with 42,000 followers.

Bitnami
