The highly anticipated series, which will premiere on Telecinco in a few weeks, leads the catalog of dramas and major premieres that the Spanish group is presenting in Miami.

What family doesn’t keep secrets? Where do the real threats lurk? How far will loyalty and love go when power and money come into play?
These are some of the questions posed by Pura Sangre, the new drama that Telecinco will premiere soon and which leads the Mediterráneo Mediaset España catalog at the current edition of Content Americas, taking place this week in Miami.
“Mediterráneo presents as a world premiere the upcoming series Pura Sangre, which will debut on Telecinco,” began Silvia Cotino, Deputy Director of Mediterráneo Mediaset España, in an interview with ttvnews.
“It’s our Spanish Yellowstone,” the executive emphasized. “A family saga set against the stunning backdrop of Spain and featuring stories that have unfolded episode by episode. We hope it will be enjoyed by audiences both in Spain and in the region.”
Produced in collaboration with Shine Iberia (Banijay Iberia), Pura Sangre is an intense ensemble drama that blends family conflicts, romance, thriller, and mystery at the heart of a powerful aristocratic saga. The rural and equestrian world serves as a backdrop, and a criminal investigation is the catalyst for all its storylines.
It stars Ángela Molina, Pep Munné, Amaia Salamanca, Aitor Luna, Blanca Romero, Jaime Zatarain, Maru Valdivielso, and Pedro Casablanc, leading a cast of nearly 90 actors. Filming took place over 17 weeks in 25 natural locations across Castile and León and the Community of Madrid, with more than 80% of the scenes shot outdoors.
“In addition to Pura Sangre, we’re bringing the remake of Call My Agent, called La Agencia, to the region for the first time,” she added. “We’re premiering it this fall on Telecinco. It’s a fantastic dramedy with a wonderful cast, and after its broadcast in Spain, it’s now streaming on Disney+ Spain.”
Produced by Good Mood (Mediawan) for Mediaset España, with Daniel Écija and Ghislain Barrois as executive producers; Víctor Pedreira as head of the writing team and David Molina Encinas leading the directing team, this new series offers a vibrant and exciting look at the entertainment world from the perspective of those who work behind the scenes: talent agents.
Among other new offerings, Mediterráneo is also presenting series such as Desaparecido, a production by iZen, Pausoka, and ETV, with Netflix Spain as its first platform; and Punto Nemo, a production for Amazon Prime Video.
“And also Mediaset’s catalog, which is incredibly varied, with all kinds of genres, both fiction and entertainment,” the executive added.
Finally, Cotino highlighted the great success of the period drama, La Favorita, which, it should be noted, has become a favorite with audiences worldwide. “We are thrilled because last year we started working on the period drama produced with Bambú, La Favorita, and we are currently finalizing our 71st territory,” she revealed.
“In Latin America, it has premiered on Flow and Max, and in the US, it airs on Walter Presents. It’s a genre we didn’t have in our catalog, and we’ve been very happy with the content and working with Bambú. We hope to finalize new territories soon,” she concluded.
