Fresh from its premiere just last week, Six of Us is one of the standout titles that OGM Universe is presenting at this edition of Mip Cancun in Mexico.
“We launched Six of Us two weeks ago on Wednesday nights, so this week is the second episode and we are very happy with the outcome of the show,” Ekin Koyuncu, director of OGM Universe, said to ttvnews at the event.
Six of Us is a heartbreaking story of six siblings who are orphaned and have to navigate the tough streets of Istanbul, facing threats from both the authorities and criminals, while desperately searching for a safe haven.
“It’s a survival story,” she explained. “We will be witnessing their sacrifices to stay safe.”
In addition, the distributor is also presenting Shahrzad, a Turkish remake of the famous Iranian TV series.
“The second title we are introducing to Latam clients is Shahrzad, it’s an Iranian drama from 2015, which ran very successfully for three seasons. We are adapting the series and hopefully we will be premiering by mid-December,” she said.
In Shahrzad, the story revolves around a young woman forced to marry the son of a powerful political leader, while she is in love with another, Farhad. “It’s a period drama taking place in the early seventies, and we will be watching an impossible love story take place,” she concluded.
