The executive joins the company as VP of Sales for Latin America.

Whip Media, the mother company of TV Time that launched its Whip Media Exchange platform, announced on Wednesday the arrival of Paul Childers as Vice President of Sales for Latin America.

In his new role, he will lead Whip Media’s customer acquisition and sales efforts for its data and content licensing solutions throughout the region.

Childers joins Whip Media with more than 25 years of experience in global sales and management of PayTV, OTT and SaaS providers in Europe, Latin America and the US.

He has served in senior roles at major media companies, including Comcast, Liberty Global, and Directv, as well as a number of high-growth and innovative startups supporting OTT studios and operators.

“Paul has a successful track record building and selling products in South American markets that have generated revenue for some of the largest entertainment companies in the world,” said Paul Hastings, Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Whip Media. “He will be an excellent addition to Whip Media’s expansion in Latin America,” he added.

“Whip Media’s unique platform and data provide a real competitive advantage to OTTs in this rapidly evolving market,” said Childers. “I am excited to join the team and help Whip Media grow its presence in a region that is one of the fastest growing markets for OTT in the world.”

The Childers appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Whip Media in all of its business areas. Such growth means significant business opportunity and demand for Whip Media’s proprietary global information and data and business platform.

The company’s growing list of clients comprises more than 50 of the largest media and entertainment companies, including the largest Hollywood studios, major broadcasters, and the world’s largest MVPD operators.
