ViX premieres the film Mi Casa No Es Tu Casa on October 16, a family comedy starring Ana Claudia Talancón and David Chocarro, that raises one simple question: what happens when mom’s new boyfriend becomes her kids’ public enemy number one?
For Facu and Santi, one thing is crystal clear: their mom can fall in love again, but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to accept her new boyfriend in the house. Mi Casa No Es Tu Casa is a family comedy that shows, with plenty of humor, just how complicated it can be to start over when a family is still getting used to change.
Mía (Ana Claudia Talancón) and Andrés (David Chocarro) are deeply in love and decide to take a major step in their relationship: moving in together. Andrés, a perfectionist bookstore owner used to his bachelor life, is determined to make it work. The problem is that Mía’s sons, Facu and Santi, are not happy at all about their new houseguest.
The brothers still hold out hope that their dad, Eduardo, will come back home and that everything will go back to how it was before the divorce. To them, Andrés stands in the way of that, so they team up to find a way to get him out of their house and out of their mom’s life.
What starts with a few pranks soon turns into a full-blown plan. Facu and Santi resort to tricks, schemes and every strategy they can think of to make Andrés understand he’s not welcome. But he’s not willing to give up either, and will do everything he can to prove to Mía that their relationship is worth fighting for.
Between attempts to get back what they once had, a new relationship trying to find its footing and a living situation that is anything but easy, Mi Casa No Es Tu Casa uses humor to portray those moments when a family has to learn a new way of being together.
Directed by Jorge Colón, the film also features performances by Andrés Almeida, Tato Alexander, Checo Pérezcuadra and Juanpi Monterrubio.
Mi Casa No Es Tu Casa is a production of Nectar Films, FOX Entertainment Studios and Cimarron, and will be available on ViX starting October 16.
