The thriller has already started filming in Madrid.

ViX announced today the second season of its hit original suspense series Isla Brava and unveiled the cast. Actors joining the regular cast are Ludwika Paleta (¿Quieres ser mi hijo?, Madre solo hay dos), Osvaldo Benavides (Noche de bodas, Monarca), Roberto Mateos (El dragón, ¿Dónde está Elisa?) and Mauricio Hénao (Perfil falso, La herencia, Donde hubo fuego).

Returning Isla Brava 2 cast members include Fernanda Castillo (El señor de los cielos, Monarca) as Lucía Estrada de Suárez, Flavio Medina (Pacto de Sangre, Triada, La reina del sur) as Alfredo, Erik Hayser, (Ingobernable, Sense8) as Bruno, Bárbara López (Amar a muerte, Juliantina, Señorita 89) in the role of Agent Pilar and Karena Flores (Si nos dejan, Corazón guerrero) as Mora.

The cast also includes actors from Season 1 including Juan Pablo Fuentes as Thiago and Mar Sordo as Isabel. Produced by OnzaAméricas, the ViX original thriller started filming in Madrid and is set to continue in other Spanish cities, including Toledo and Denia.

In Season 2 of the ViX original series, we learn how Alfredo’s reappearance after some time on the lam is a blow for the Isla Brava community. With his power intact and the system corrupt, he is on the verge of getting away with all of his crimes, something that Camila (Ludwika Paleta), an investigative journalist who is on the case, and Pilar (Bárbara López) refuse to allow. Meanwhile, Lucía (Fernanda Castillo) and her entire family move to Madrid to get away from the nightmare they’ve been living and begin a new life. But nobody even suspects what Alfredo is planning: something much bigger and more dangerous than what started on the island.

The series is directed by Pitipol Ybarra and was created and written by Emmy nominee Esther Feldman. Executive producers are José María Irisarri, Gonzalo Sagardía, Santiago de la Rica, Harvey Grisalez and Rodrigo Trujillo.
