The company closed 2021 with an 11.8% increase in revenue compared to 2020 and 5.7% compared to 2019.
TelevisaUnivision announced in the last hours Univision’s financial results for 2021.
And, as detailed, the year closed with revenues of 2.841 million dollars, 11.8% more than in 2020 and 5.7% more than in 2019.
The increase was possible thanks to a growth in advertising revenue of 22% compared to 2020 and 6.7% compared to 2019.
Earnings, meanwhile, were 133.7 million dollars. The previous year the company had lost 23.8 million.
“2021 was an impressive year for Univision. We managed to reverse the drop in revenue and EBITDA after five years. The engines of the entire company are in overdrive. Ratings improved, ad revenue improved, and subscription revenue grew 15% over the last quarter. And last week we announced the launch of ViX,” said Wade Davis, CEO of Univision.
“In light of all this progress, it is important to remember that the true transformation will be driven by the merger and creation of our new company, TelevisaUnivision. The combination of the two companies creates a more complete business model with greater growth potential”, he added.
