The Chilean network will premiere Sweet Diva on March 18th and Hidden Truths on the 22nd.

Two big hits from Globo are scheduled to premiere in March on Chile’s Mega channel. On the 18th the big hit Sweet Diva will premiere at 5:30 pm. Then, on the 22nd, it is the turn of the series Hidden Truths, a great success that returns to the country, and will be aired at midnight.

The arrival of Sweet Diva in Chile confirms very successful exhibitions of the telenovela around the world. Recently, it was on the air on the Univision channel, in the United States, and left the channel in the vice-leadership of programming on free-to-air TV, in front of channels such as CBS and NBC in the 10 PM schedule. The final episode of the production, on the last day 1, attracted more than 1.7 viewers, being 630 thousand adults between 18-49 years old, and conquered the largest slot audience.

Currently airing on TV3 in Latvia, the telenovela has been achieving excellent consolidated results, reaching 7.3% share – much higher than the channel’s average, which is 4.2%. In addition to TV3, the story is also enchanting audiences in other countries, such as Uruguay (Teledoce), Bolivia (Red Uno), Mexico (Imagen TV), Univision (Puerto Rico) and in Israel (Viva).

With a narrative that talks about female empowerment, courage, hope, and overcoming with optimism, Sweet Diva brings the story of the character Maria da Paz (Juliana Paes, from Total Dreamer), a dedicated pastry chef who becomes a rich businesswoman twenty years after a tragedy on the day of her wedding to Amadeu (Marcos Palmeira, from Anti Kidnapping Unit). From this union, which ends in separation, a baby is born, Jô, who seeks power and despises his mother’s humble origins. Afraid that her parents’ reunion could ruin her plans, Jô (Agatha Moreira, from Pride and Passion) starts an alliance with the charming Regis (Reynaldo Gianecchini, from Family Ties) to convince Maria to marry him and together they plan to steal Maria’s entire fortune. In a plot full of emotion and twists, the protagonist’s optimism must be stronger than Joe’s ambition, when the pastry chef discovers the betrayal and the dangerous secrets of her own daughter.

Starting on the 22nd at midnight at Mega, the 2016 Emmy Awards winner Hidden Truths was licensed to over 75 countries including almost all Latin America, Arab countries, Eastern Europe, Japan, Africa, and Western Europe.

A love triangle involving mother and daughter is the incendiary focus of Hidden Truths, which brings as a backdrop the dark side of the fashion world and explores the limits of each character when it comes to obsession, money, and pleasure. At the center of the story is a beautiful young girl full of dreams, the sweet Angel (Camila Queiroz, from The Incredible 90’s), who, when she arrives in São Paulo ready to become a model, lets herself be carried away by a dark reality that goes far beyond the catwalks. The telenovela also touches points such as the world of drugs, a theme that stands out in the plot through the eyes of the character Larissa (Grazi Massafera, from A Life Worth Living), a young model who is addicted to crack cocaine.

Due to the great success of the title, ‘Hidden Truths 2’ was confirmed in 2021, bringing new developments of Angel’s life.
