Following the great success of “Las Aventuras de Bartolito en Internet”, The Children’s Kingdom and YouTube Kids are launching “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures”, a series of five short videos in English packed with practical tips and tools to teach kids and their families how to use the Internet safely and responsibly.

Buenos Aires/Madrid, August 23, 2024. As part of their ongoing commitment advocating for Children’s safety, The Children’s Kingdom (Leader Entertainment) and YouTube Kids (Google) launched their educational campaign in English, “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures”, on August 15th. Following the great success of its Spanish counterpart, called “Las Aventuras de Bartolito en Internet”, which debuted last February, this project will be available on both platforms and featured as highlighted content on the YouTube Kids app in English. The goal is to continue providing high-quality, valuable content for all families around the world.

The Children’s Kingdom, renowned for its safe and educational content, brings beloved characters Bartolito, Lola the Cow and Beto the Wolf -stars of the popular series “Zenon the Farmer”- to address the important topic of safety in the digital world. The campaign, “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures”, features a series of five short videos in English, offering practical tips and tools for kids and their families to learn how to use the Internet safely and responsibly. The short videos include: Share with Care, Don’t Fall for Fake, Secure your Secrets, It’s Cool to be Kind and When in Doubt, Talk it Out, all part of the series “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures”. These are aligned with the five fundamentals of Google’s “Be Internet Awesome” program. They are also part of “Be Internet Awesome”, an online initiative designed to help kids explore the digital world safely and confidently.

“We are pleased that YouTube Kids chose us earlier this year to continue adding content and working closely together to reach all families around the world. Following the success of its Spanish counterpart, “Las Aventuras de Bartolito en Internet”, which garnered 24 million views and over 300 hours of viewing time in Latin America -leading in Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Colombia in only six months- we are now launching “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures”. Our goal is to keep teaching kids the importance of staying safe online, now targeting the English-speaking audience. The campaign also helps them connect with everyday issues, and fosters conversations between kids and their families,” explains Roberto “Kuky” Pumar, CEO of Leader Entertainment. “The Children’s Kingdom” joined YouTube in 2011 and is now the #1 Spanish-speaking channel for kids, boasting over 65 million subscribers.

“This initiative strengthens our commitment to keeping YouTube’s community safe while offering a viewing experience tailored for children. Our goal with this series is to provide family-friendly content with a clear and entertaining message, helping children discover the digital world in a safe and enjoyable way. The Children’s Kingdom was the perfect partner for this initiative, allowing us to reach a younger audience by speaking their language through their beloved characters,” adds Karina Szmulewicz, Strategic Partnerships Manager for YouTube Family & Learning.

The scripts for the videos were overseen by Belén Igarzábal, PhD in Social Sciences and researcher at FLACSO Argentina (Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences.) She provided a pedagogical perspective from the beginning of the project and collaborated on adapting the “Be Internet Awesome” fundamentals.

“Be Internet Awesome” leverages the power of the Internet and focuses on preparing children to make smart decisions online. It introduces key concepts of digital citizenship and safety, helping families navigate the online world with confidence. The fundamental “Share with Care” teaches what is appropriate to share with people we know and people we don”t know, emphasizing the importance of not sharing personal data or pictures with strangers. “Don”t Fall for Fake” explains that not everything we see online is real, encouraging us to distinguish between genuine and fake content. “Secure your Secrets” encourages us to create safe passwords and keep them private. Lastly, “It’s Cool to be Kind” focuses on treating others as we would like to be treated, creating a positive impact and discouraging bullying. The program also includes the adventure “Interland”, a game designed to take full advantage of the Internet, giving kids the skills needed to make smart decisions online.

The Children’s Kingdom invites all families to participate in this initiative and enjoy “Las Aventuras de Bartolito en Internet” (in Spanish) and “Bartolito’s Awesome Internet Adventures” (in English) by clicking the following link.
