After the impressive results registered by Turkish dramas like Woman and My Little Girl on Antena 3’s prime time, Mediaset is committed to premiering the romantic comedy Love is in the air on Telecinco.

The Spanish craze for Turkish dramas, which began at the beginning of 2018 with Fatmagül for Nova, let do Atresmedia’s decision to broadcast Mujer (Woman) in prime time on its main channel, Antena 3. It worked so well that it chose to continue with Mi hija (My Little Girl). Together, they have become an unbeatable tandem on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

And now, Mediaset Spain has decided to make a move. After previewing the romantic comedy Love is in the air (Sen Çal Kapımı in Turkish) on its Mitele Plus platform, it has now announced that its debut on open TV will be this Monday, January 11, simultaneously on Telecinco’s prime time.

So it will be a multi-channel event: starting at 10:00 p.m., the first episode of the series distributed by Madd Entertainment will be broadcast simultaneously on Telecinco, Divinity (Mediaset’s home for Turkish productions), FDF, Energy and Be Mad. In addition, Cuatro will also be added with the first minutes of the episode.

And now, it was revealed that Telecinco will broadcast new episodes on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 in its access prime time. That is, the same days that Antena 3 broadcasts its Turkish dramas.

Although it is not the first time that Mediaset has played with a multi-channel strategy for the premiere of a Turkish title that would later continue on its thematic channel Divinity, in this case – given the success that Atresmedia is having in its large general channel – the question arises what will happen to the rest of the series. If the numbers are good, will it continue on Telecinco’s nights?
