The show, originally created by Zeppelin and broadcast by Movistar+, returns with a second season on Channel 4.

Banijay has announced that its survival reality show The Bridge will return to the UK for a second season on Channel 4.

This is the El Puente format, originally created and produced by the Spanish production company Zeppelin (Banijay Iberia) for Movistar+ channel #0.

The new British installment has 8 60-minute episodes, produced by Workerbee (Banijay UK) and HBO Max. It is hosted by AJ Odudu, accompanied by adventurer and explorer Aldo Kane, and set in the paradise islands of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

Since Workerbee produced the UK version in 2021, the competition has seen a resurgence with new adaptations commissioned in Brazil (HBO Max) and Australia (Paramount+).

Additionally, Banijay Rights sold the UK version in the Netherlands and in Africa and Latin America. The show also aired on HBO Max in the US, and the second season will be seen on the platform in the US, Latin America and Asia.

In The Bridge, 16 strangers team up to fight for a big cash prize. But to achieve this, they must face an epic challenge that will test their physical abilities, mental skills and teamwork: build a 300-meter bridge over water in just 12 days. Whoever gets to the island and reaches the money first will choose to keep it or share it with their teammates.
