The classic Sony Pictures Television game show came back with a pilot shot in Mexico. To celebrate the return, this Monday and Tuesday, the company will host a live version at Mipcom.

Present at this year’s Mipcom in Cannes, Sony Pictures Television is presenting a new version of its original format Can’t Touch This, with a live demonstration of the bungee game in the Croisette.

To celebrate the return of the classic game show, SPT has set up a live version for Mipcom attendees to play and have the chance to win a variety of electronics by Sony.

In Can’t Touch This, contestants must overcome obstacles and challenges that include elastic strings, bubbles, electric shocks and slippery slopes.. things that are difficult to touch, until finally they must make a great leap of faith and touch the grand prize: a new car.

SPT produced a new pilot in Mexico in September, filmed in front of a live audience.

Where the original version presented an obstacle course, the reimagined version presents simple but challenging games with a circus, entertaining and interactive feeling.

“We are very excited to relaunch this exceptional and fun format,” said Sarah Edwards, SVP of SPT Global Unscripted Formats.

“It really talks about SPT’s commitment to believe in creative and innovative ideas, and to take advantage of our advantage as an independent studio to carry out our vision of great programming. We can’t wait to see everyone trying to reach these awards this week.”

The live event will be located between the outdoor stands C18 and C16.D, and will be open on Monday 14 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Tuesday 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
