Particular Crowd’s catalog includes Martino Zaidelis’ Argentine thriller La Extorsión and the Argentine-Uruguayan comedy Casi Muerta.
British production, marketing, and distribution company Signature Entertainment announced that it will acquire Latin American production and distribution company Particular Crowd, which was founded in 2020 as a Warner Bros Discovery content label, based in Los Angeles and Buenos Aires, before re-establishing itself as an independent label.
Particular Crowd has achieved success in recent months with the releases of Martino Zaidelis’ Argentine thriller La Extorsión and the Argentine-Uruguayan comedy Casi Muerta.
Both films achieved top box office rankings for local titles and performed well at Max, where Particular Crowd’s films are available exclusively locally under a volume agreement the company has with Warner Bros. Discovery, an agreement that will continue following the acquisition of Signature.
Upcoming projects include Brazil’s Evidências Do Amor, to be released in theaters this month by Warner Bros and Aztec Batman: Clash Of Empires, a Warner Bros. original animated film that sets Batman against the backdrop of Mexican history.
Signature and Particular Crowd have collaborated on films in recent years, including Paul Andrew Williams’ crime thriller Bull.
Peter Bevan, head of Particular Crowd in Los Angeles, will join Signature’s senior management team as president of global strategy and distribution.
