Secuoya Studios has appointed Carla Gómez as Executive Producer and Development Executive.
Her arrival strengthens the company’s creative and production structure in Latin America and reinforces the growth strategy already underway in the region.
In her new role, Gómez will lead the company’s content strategy across the region, taking part in the identification, evaluation and development of original projects, while also overseeing their creative evolution and execution.
Gómez also brings with her the extensive catalogue of IP and projects she developed while leading Cielito Studio, her boutique development company.
Her appointment will further strengthen the studio’s ability to identify new stories and talent across the region and build a content slate closely connected to Latin American audiences, with the potential to travel internationally.

Carla Gómez brings more than two decades of experience in the Latin American audiovisual industry, primarily across original production and content development for streaming platforms and pay TV networks. Over the course of her career, she has worked with the content teams at ViX, HBO and Viacom, as well as with NBCUniversal as a producer, and most recently with Netflix in Colombia as a development consultant.
Among the most notable projects she has worked on as an executive are Los Encantos del Sinvergüenza, an adaptation of the novel by Ángela Becerra starring Manolo Cardona and Carolina Miranda; Isla Brava; El Gallo de Oro, starring Lucero; La Mujer del Diablo, written by Leonardo Padrón; Los Artistas, written by María Dueñas; and María Félix: La Doña, all for ViX. Her credits also include Sierra Madre for HBO Latin America, as well as the youth series Grachi and its U.S. adaptation, Every Witch Way, for Nickelodeon.
Productions developed or overseen by Gómez have received recognition from the NAMIC Vision Awards, Imagen Foundation Awards, Telly Awards, and Kids Choice Awards. She has also built her own catalogue of original content under the Cielito Studio banner.
With this appointment, Secuoya Studios continues to expand its development capabilities in Latin America and advance a model that places creativity, content, local market expertise and direct relationships with talent at the heart of its business.
