The award recognized the studio’s work in the Turkish dubbing of Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio for Netflix.
Saran Digital Studios (SDS) has won the prestigious Best Overall Dubbing in Animation award at the Hermes Awards for localization excellence organized by the Entertainment Globalization Association.
SDS, part of the Saran Group, is one of Turkey’s most established dubbing studios and was the only Turkish nominee and the award winner in the competition.
The prize for the Best Overall Dubbing in Animation category was awarded for the Turkish dubbing of Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio for Netflix. The dubbing of Pinocchio was a great success for SDS and received the majority of the votes of EGA members. The awards ceremony was held on March 30 in an online event organized by EGA.
The Entertainment Globalization Association was established to provide a platform for professionals involved in the globalization of entertainment to work together to develop the art of retelling stories across languages and cultures. The Hermes Awards were organized for the first time this year and awarded the best dubbing in TV series and movies across all categories.
