The transmedia project, developed by RTVE’s Audiovisual Innovation Laboratory, offers interactive and gamified experiences to help children navigate the digital environment safely, responsibly, and critically.
RTVE is expanding its commitment to digital content for children with the launch of “Cibercampamento Clan” (Clan Cyber-Camp), a transmedia media literacy project aimed at providing children with the tools to understand and use the digital environment safely and responsibly.
The initiative, developed by RTVE’s Audiovisual Innovation Laboratory in collaboration with the children’s channel Clan, is now available for free on RTVE.es. The project addresses three issues of particular importance to children: digital footprints, cyberbullying, and misinformation.
Through interactive experiences and gamified activities tailored to different age groups, “Cibercampamento Clan” approaches learning about the digital world from a practical and participatory perspective.
Three interactive experiences
The platform brings together three experiences designed for learning through play, suitable for use both independently at home and in educational settings.
The content aims to help children develop the tools to identify risks and make responsible decisions online, addressing aspects related to digital identity, peer relationships, and the critical consumption of information.
In addition to experiences aimed at children, the project includes educational resources and assessments for teachers to facilitate classroom use.
Audiovisual innovation serving children
“Cibercampamento Clan” grew out of a research project led by Elena Esteban and funded by Impulsa Visión, aligning with RTVE’s public service commitment.
The project also benefited from the collaboration of Manu Sánchez Montero, an educator and specialist in educational innovation, who helped adapt the experiences, activities, and content to suit different age groups and educational contexts. The initiative also has the backing of RTVE’s Observatory on Childhood and Adolescence.
With “Cibercampamento Clan”, RTVE reinforces the evolution of its children’s content toward digital and interactive offerings that combine entertainment, education, and media literacy, expanding the Clan ecosystem beyond the traditional screen.
