The awards will hold their fourth edition in Miami in January 2027 and honor Venezuelan screenwriter and executive Roberto Stopello, who will deliver a keynote on the evolution of Spanish-language fiction.

The Rose d’Or Latinos 2027 have extended the entry deadline for productions to Monday, October 19, following a strong response and to give companies still completing their submissions additional time.

The fourth edition of the awards will take place in Miami, recognizing creativity and excellence across the Ibero-American audiovisual industry, with productions from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the US Hispanic market.

Entries will be evaluated by an international jury of nearly 200 industry professionals, who will select the finalists and winners across the different categories.

This year’s competition features 13 categories: Drama Series; Comedy or Dramedy Series; Miniseries or Limited Series; Telenovela; Documentary or Docuseries; TV Movie or Streaming Film; Competition Reality; Docu-Reality or Factual; Branded Entertainment; Vertical and Digital-First; Kids; Youth; and Audio.

As part of the fourth edition, the Rose d’Or Latinos will present their Lifetime Achievement Award to Roberto Stopello, the Venezuelan screenwriter, creator and executive who has held senior positions at Telemundo and Netflix. During his 17 years at Telemundo, he oversaw the development of titles such as La reina del sur, El señor de los cielos and Señora Acero. At Netflix, he led the platform’s melodrama strategy for Latin America from 2018 to 2024, helping drive productions including Oscuro deseo, ¿Quién mató a Sara? and Pálpito.

Stopello will also deliver a keynote at Content Americas 2027, reflecting on key milestones in his career and sharing his perspective on the evolution of Spanish-language fiction, the challenges facing the industry and the future of storytellers. His most recent project as creator and showrunner, El otro padre, premiered on Netflix in July 2026.

The Rose d’Or Latinos awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2027, in Miami, as part of Content Americas, which runs from January 18 to 21.
