The leading microdrama platform ReelShort and Endemol Shine Brasil, a Banijay Americas company, have partnered for the Brazilian adaptation of one of the service’s biggest global hits, Married at First Sight. Locally titled De Repente Casados, the new vertical‑format microdrama will premiere on April 18, exclusively on ReelShort.
Married at First Sight is one of ReelShort’s standout titles. Originally released in 2023, the series has amassed over 227 million views globally and is now being adapted for the Brazilian market as part of the platform’s strategy to scale its content and expand its global footprint.
In the Brazilian version, the story is led by Laryssa Ayres and Ricardo Vianna, actors already familiar with the vertical format, and also features a special appearance by veteran actor Adriano Garib. The project is directed by Rogério Passos, a seasoned name in Brazilian television drama.
