November saw the launch of new platforms from giants like TV Azteca or Viaplay, as well as Netflix’s new AVOD tier in select countries.

Viaplay Select (LatAm)

Viaplay Group announced an alliance with DMD to bring its Viaplay Select brand to Latin America within the CINDIE streaming platform. The agreement includes 200 hours of series, movies and premium content from Viaplay Select.

OneFootball TV (LatAm)

It will allow the users to watch OneFootball’s full suite of video content from a number of top clubs, leagues and federations on their TV. Integrating with its mobile and web platforms, it creates a seamless OneFootball experience across devices.

Azteca Now (Mexico)

The free streaming platform Azteca Now from the Mexican audiovisual company TV Azteca is now available in Mexico. The OTT, which earns revenue through advertising, had been launched only for the international Spanish-speaking market.

El Financiero Bloomberg (Mexico)

The Mexican channel El Financiero Bloomberg TV launched its own app in association with the company TVCoins, in which it offers the live signal and a VOD video library with all the programs already broadcast.

RedeTV Go (Brazil)

RedeTV! launched its own streaming service, which is offered completely free of charge. The platform shows the live programming of the Brazilian channel and has a video library of VOD content.

Multi+ (Brazil)

Brazilian electronics manufacturer Multi has launched its own streaming service: Multi+. It will come pre-installed on the mobile devices produced by the company and the app will also be available for mobile devices from other manufacturers, smart TVs and streaming players.

NetUno Go (Venezuela)

The Venezuelan company NetUno launched NetUno Go, its new streaming Pay TV offer. The service has a grid of 110 basic linear signals. It has advanced features such as pausing and rewinding live signals, recording linear programming, and creating profiles.

Netflix AVOD (Select countries including Brazil and Mexico)

Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States of America Netflix launched a lower priced ad-supported plan: Basic with Ads. This offers all the features from the Basic plan, with a few differences: Video quality up to 720p/HD; 4 to 5 minutes of ads per hour; a limited number of movies and TV shows won’t be available; no ability to download titles.
