Filmed since May last year, and initially announced as Todo por ti, Oscuro Deseo, the new Mexican original Netflix series produced by Argos Comunicación, will premiere on July 15.
The announcement was made in the last hours through social networks by the platform and some members of the leading cast.
Written by Leticia López Margalli and directed by Pedro P. Ybarra and Kenya Márquez, the series stars Maite Perroni, Alejandro Speitzer, Erik Hayser, Jorge Poza, María Fernanda Yepes and Regina Pavón.
Grace Ugalde, Verónica Velasco, Epigmenio Ibarra and Natasha Ybarra-Klor are both executive producers.
Promoted as an erotic thriller, the series focuses on a university professor (Maite Perroni) who falls in love with a man 15 years younger than her (Alejandro Speitzer) and who for the first time in her life ventures into an extramarital relationship, which will change her marriage forever.
Oscuro Deseo is the second collaboration between Netflix and Argos Comunicación after Ingobernable, a series released in 2017 and that had two seasons.
