The series, produced by Manas Filmes, is an original fiction developed by KondZilla and LB Entertainment for Netflix.
Netflix has unveiled the cast and released the first teaser for Rauls, a new Brazilian original fiction series developed by KondZilla and LB Entertainment and produced by Manas Filmes, which explores the world of digital scams from the outskirts of São Paulo.
Starring Samuel Naor in his acting debut, the series also features Giovanna Cremonezi, Traplaudo, MC Chaverin, MC Dricka, MC GP, Nath Fischer and MC Nilo. The cast plays a group of highly connected young people who see digital scams as a shortcut to changing their lives, but ultimately face the consequences of their choices.
The series combines thriller and comedy elements with a portrayal of São Paulo’s peripheral communities, addressing themes including ambition, survival and aspirations for social mobility.
Rauls is directed by Kaique Alves, who also created the series alongside Konrad Dantas, founder of KondZilla, and Felipe Braga. The writing team includes Thiago Dottori, Raul Perez, Donna Oliveira and Teodoro Poppovic.
Episode directors include Daniel Lieff, Fred Ouro Preto, Gabriel Zerra and Thatiane Almeida. Executive producers are Konrad Dantas, Rita Moraes, Felipe Braga, Kaique Alves, Bel Berlinck and Joana Cooper.
According to Alves, casting was a key element in the development of the production, which brings together emerging talent and experienced artists to build its characters and establish the series’ identity.
With Rauls, KondZilla adds another project to its relationship with Netflix. The company is also behind Sintonia, one of the platform’s key Brazilian franchises, while for LB Entertainment, the series marks its third Netflix project following Lov3 and Samantha!.
