Netflix will bring all 104 matches of the centenary edition to fans in Spain and Andorra.

Netflix has acquired the exclusive rights to the FIFA World Cup 2030 for Spain and Andorra and will broadcast all 104 matches of the world’s biggest football competition live.

The FIFA World Cup 2030 will mark the competition’s centenary. Spain, the reigning world champion, will be one of the tournament’s three host countries, alongside Morocco and Portugal. Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will also host centenary celebration matches.

Netflix plans to provide comprehensive live coverage of the tournament, with programming featuring a distinctly Spanish approach before each match, at halftime and after the final whistle, as well as a daily highlights show on matchdays and additional content designed to build excitement ahead of the tournament.

As part of the agreement, one match from each matchday will be available free of charge in Spain. In addition, a package of matches will be offered to a national free-to-air broadcaster, including all of Spain’s matches, both semifinals and the final, ensuring broad availability for audiences throughout the country. Further details about Netflix’s partnership with a free-to-air broadcaster to show selected matches will be announced at a later date.

The agreement also expands Netflix’s growing partnership with FIFA. Netflix also holds the media rights in the United States and Canada to the 2027 and 2031 editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“Few events bring people together quite like a World Cup. This year, I was in the stadium when Spain lifted the trophy, and I experienced firsthand the passion, pride and stories that become part of a country’s culture and remain in people’s memories for generations. Now that Spain will be one of the host countries in 2030, we’re incredibly excited to bring every match to fans in Spain and Andorra on Netflix. For Spanish football fans, welcoming the world as reigning champions and being able to watch every match on Netflix will make this a truly unique occasion. What’s more, our growing partnership with FIFA, which includes the 2027 and 2031 editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the United States and Canada, reflects our ongoing commitment to bringing fans closer to the biggest moments in global sports,” said Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer at Netflix.

“We are pleased to continue strengthening our partnership with Netflix as we look ahead to the FIFA World Cup 2030. This will be a very special edition of the tournament, and we look forward to working together to bring it to fans in Spain and Andorra. We share the goal of bringing football even closer to fans so that as many people as possible can experience the excitement of this competition,” said Mattias Grafström, FIFA Secretary General.

The agreement adds to Netflix’s growing offering of premium live sports around the world, which includes the 2027 and 2031 editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, NFL and MLB games and events, WWE, and some of the biggest boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) bouts.

The FIFA World Cup 2030 will celebrate the centenary of the first edition, held in Uruguay in 1930, bringing together the world’s best national teams for a historic edition of the competition.
