Romina Rosado has been appointed to lead the new division as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Streaming Hispano for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced Tuesday the creation of the new Streaming Hispano business division, dedicated exclusively to driving the growth of Latinos at Peacock and across all Telemundo and NBCUniversal streaming platforms.

The Hispanic Streaming division of NBCUniversal Telemundo will be in charge of immediately developing a robust content list that includes more than 50 projects, set to prmiere from 2022 onwards.

The company has appointed Romina Rosado as executive vice president and general manager of Streaming Hispano to lead the new division, reporting directly to Beau Ferrari, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.

“The Hispanic Streaming division of NBCUniversal Telemundo immediately unifies and amplifies our unmatched resources and reaches our audience across the company, accelerating our presence at Peacock and across NBCUniversal’s streaming portfolio,” said Ferrari.

“Romina is a seasoned media executive, with a clear vision and knowledge to develop content relevant to the Latin and general markets that will support our company-wide approach to generating programming for the Hispanic streaming audience,” he added.

Building on Telemundo’s success supplying original Latino titles for more than a decade to direct-to-consumer platforms, the Hispanic Streaming division will take advantage of the ever-increasing demand from Latino streaming audiences as their media consumption habits continue to evolve.

In her new role, Rosado will lead company-wide efforts and collaborate with Peacock’s leadership in developing the service’s Latino content to effectively reach and connect with this growing demographic.

She will also collaborate with the newly created Telemundo Streaming Studios, the first Hispanic media studio dedicated exclusively to serving growing Latino streaming audiences, to develop and produce original content based on Peacock’s content strategy for Hispanics.

Most recently, Rosado was Executive Vice President of Entertainment and Content Strategy for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, where she oversaw the company’s omnichannel strategy with a focus on streaming.

Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Digital Media, where she oversaw the growth of Telemundo digital to become a streaming powerhouse, tripling use of the Telemundo app in 2020.

Rosado joined Telemundo in 2018 to develop Noticias Telemundo’s digital strategy ahead of the 2020 presidential elections. Before joining Telemundo, she was Senior Vice President of Global Content at E! from NBCUniversal, where she helped expand programming and grow the brand to more than 1 billion interactions per month in more than 160 countries, making E! News is the world’s largest cross-platform entertainment and women’s lifestyle news brand.
