Today, Tuesday, the second day of Natpe Budapest took place at the InterContinental hotel. The event had a greater influx of participants, while Paramount Global Content presentations, distribution news, and conferences by special guests stood out. At the end of the day, the long-awaited boat party also took place, a tradition that this new edition of Natpe Budapest is returning to after several years without it taking place.

On this second day, the company offered the acquisition delegates present at the event its line of new content. Among them stood out Poppa’s House, starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. The series is produced by CBS Studios.

Elsbeth, meanwhile, stars Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni. The series is based on the character from The Good Wife and The Good Fight. Robert King directed the pilot from a script he wrote with Michelle King and it is also produced by CBS Studios.

Oderbruch is produced by Syrreal Entertainment, ARD Degeto and CBS Studios, while The Turkish Detective is a production of Miramax and production company Ay Yapim, in association with Paramount Television International Studios.

Matlock, inspired by the classic television series of the same name, is a production of CBS Studios.

Lastly, the company also introduced Three Women, based on the number one international bestselling nonfiction book by Lisa Taddeo.

Regarding the first impressions left by the market, one can say that they have been positive. The movement of people is seen in the corridors, and the tables as well as the suites receive a significant number of participants.

For some companies, in fact, this has been their first presentation, as is the case of VIP2000, in search of new marketing channels: “The market is changing a lot. It is necessary to understand where the opportunities are, and that is why we decided to come this year”, explains Rosalind Rotundo.

For Ignacio Barrera, in charge of international sales at Mas Ros Media, his presence responds in this case as a commitment to the new businesses developed by the company: “Content for gamers is a central commitment of the company, but we are also distributing at an international level, a catalog of new titles, as is the case of the Gamer series. We are also open to acquiring new content, and that is why from now on it is important for us to present ourselves in all markets at an international level.”

As in each market, there are several new titles that are presented during the day. This is the case of Daylight, the new series that Kanal D would be presenting during the month of September, and that therefore could have its international presentation during the next Mipcom: “It is a young, fresh drama, and new details will be revealed soon”, explains Canan Koca, the company’s sales executive.

Alexis Cárdenas and Max Wynen from The Kitchen also commented on what they’re looking for at the market. Max Wynen gave details about the announced opening of the company’s offices in Madrid: “We started working on it a long time ago, and we are about to finish. If all goes well, during the month of September we will be opening the new offices, in continuation with our international expansion”.

Regarding the conference program, the presentation by Pavel Stantchev, CEO of TV2 Media Group, and the panel on the challenges of co-production stood out. At the end of the day, the Pitch & Live! competition also took place, which already has its seventh edition, the space where the new formats of the region are presented.

The closing of the day was undoubtedly starred in the long-awaited Boat Party aboard the Europa, the boat with the most remembered parties in Natpe Budapest.
