The event will take place in a hybrid format, with an in-person edition at the InterContinental Hotel from August 30 to September 2, complemented by virtual screenings, presentations and networking tools.

The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), the global business association for content producers, distributors, streamers, and buyers across all platforms, today announced that NATPE International Budapest will be returning to the InterContinental Hotel for a physical event between August 30 to September 2, 2021.

The activities on-site, which will emphasize the exhibition floor and meeting spaces, will be combined with additional virtual components, such as virtual screenings, presentations, and other networking tools, available to those on-site and attending from afar.

“I am so pleased to announce our return to Budapest in the early fall. On-site and in-person, we will be there in a limited and safe capacity, but through our virtual screenings and presentations, we will be able to connect everyone from wherever they attend. This is a direct result of listening to our clients and partners who are eager to engage in this new reality of hybrid events to accelerate global distribution of their new series and shows. We plan on NATPE Budapest being the ultimate content industry event in early Fall this year,” said JP Bommel, President and CEO, NATPE.

NATPE is committed to adhering to strict guidelines outlined in “NATPESafe” to produce a responsible event in Budapest and is in close coordination with the local authorities there to ensure that all attendees have a productive and comfortable experience as lockdown restrictions across Europe evolve. Whether attending in-person or virtually, NATPE International Budapest will continue NATPE’s mission to be the one-stop-shop for the global content marketplace. NATPE VIRTUAL’s platform utilizes the most comprehensive ecosystem of customized tools to empower creators and distributors of all backgrounds and experience.

NATPE Budapest International has grown exponentially in the last few years to become a must-attend event for the global content community from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and The Americas. The virtual shift will provide an opportunity for these territories to participate and screen their shows.
