Beta Film announced the presale during the presentation to buyers and press of the highly anticipated new original series from Movistar+ and Telemundo International Studios, produced by DLO Producciones.

This Thursday, June 18, the virtual event Beta Summer Insights took place, where German distributor Beta Film presented its new productions to the international market.

The first was the Spanish series Tell Me Who I Am (9 × 50′), an original by Movistar+, adaptation of the successful novel by Julia Navarro. Last week it was announced that Telemundo International Studios will be a co-producer of the fiction.

And during the panel, Christian Gockel, Executive VP of International Sales and Acquisitions for Beta Film, revealed that Tell Me Who I Am has been sold to HBO Latin America.

“At the Berlin Festival we showed the first images, and very quickly closed a presale with HBO Latin America,” he said.

“Also, we have ongoing negotiations with various channels. Although it is a production made for platforms, of very high quality, it is also having demand on open TV channels. People are wanting to see more and more, “added Gockel.

In this sense, the head of Original Fiction at Movistar, Domingo Corral, pointed out: «The intention we have at Movistar is to create series that are unique but at the same time reach the widest possible audience. We are not in the business of creating niche series.”

Tell me who I am has already secured the broadcast in Spain on Movistar+, in the US by Telemundo (screens have not been specified yet) and in Latin America by HBO.

The series produced by DLO Producciones is created by José Manuel Lorenzo, directed by Eduard Cortés, written by Piti Español and starring Goya winner Irene Escolar.

Domingo Corral (Movistar +), José Manuel Lorenzo (DLO Producciones) and Marcos Santana (Telemundo International Studios) are the executive producers.
