Reed Midem, organizer of the Cannes event, revealed its plans for the 2020 edition of Mipcom and MIPJunior to ttvnews.

Days after confirming the 2020 edition of MipCancun, Reed Midem offered a glimpse into its plans for Mipcom and MIPJunior, scheduled to take place in Cannes in October.

And, although the organization claims to be monitoring the evolution of the Covid-19 and the guidelines and recommendations of the French government on a daily basis, until now the face-to-face edition of both events is still going to take place as scheduled.

“We are actively working on the organization of the 36th edition of Mipcom (October 12 to 15) and the 28th edition of MIPJunior (October 10 and 11),” Reed Midem told ttvnews.

“Most of the exhibition space is booked and clients continue to confirm their presence. We will take the appropriate steps to provide the safest possible business environment for both events,” they added.

However, they are simultaneously preparing an online platform, following the experience gained with Miptv Online +. However, in that case it completely replaced the April event, while now it will be considered as a complementary service.

“As part of the Mipcom and MIPJunior 2020 experience, we will present the online service Mipcom Online+, which will allow executives who cannot travel to Cannes to join the most anticipated week on international television,” they said.

Lastly, the organization indicated that it is in frequent contact with all its clients and that it will share updated developments related to events in a timely manner.
