Televisa has begun filming Imperio de mentiras, the local adaptation of the successful Turkish drama distributed by Inter Medya.
Televisa celebrated the beginning of filming for Imperio de mentiras, the new drama produced by Giselle González.
It’s the Mexican adaptation of the successful Turkish drama Kara Para Aşk, aired in other Spanish-speaking countries as Amor de contrabando or Amor y dinero.
The cast and production team for the telenovela gathered on a location in Mexico City to celebrate the start of shooting.
A Mass by Father José de Jesús Aguilar was also celebrated, with Giselle González, Angelique Boyer, Andrés Palacios, Susana González, Leticia Calderón, Luz Ramos, Verónica Langer, Juan Martín Jáuregui, Iván were present Arana, Alejandra Robles Gil, Roberto Romano, Angelina Peláez, Michelle González, Ricardo Reynaud and Pilar Ixquic Mata, among others.
Imperio de mentiras will be released during the month of May on Las Estrellas.
The original version of Kara Para Aşk, distributed by Inter Medya (Black Money Love is the international title), has been seen in more than 35 countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, US Hispanic, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
The Turkish story follows Ömer Demir (Engin Akyürek), a police officer engaged to a young teacher. Meanwhile, Elif Denizer (Tuba Büyüküstün) is a member of one of the most important families in Istanbul. Their lives intersect when they suffer, the same night, the loss of a loved one. Both will join in the search for answers, why these two people from such different worlds have been killed together. But first they must learn to trust each other.
