The media group will expand its American football coverage with more than 50 free-to-air games per season, alongside new digital and editorial content initiatives.
Mediaset España and National Football League have announced the extension of their partnership through a new multi-year agreement that will strengthen the presence of American football across free-to-air television and digital platforms in Spain.
Beginning with the 2026-2027 season, the broadcaster will air at least 50 games per campaign, marking a significant increase compared to the previous deal. The broadcasts will be distributed across Cuatro, Be Mad and Mediaset Infinity, featuring games in different Sunday time slots, including the traditional Sunday Night Football.
The new contract also includes expanded coverage of the playoffs and the Super Bowl, as well as the highly anticipated NFL Madrid Game 2026 set to take place at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, alongside five additional international games scheduled in London, Paris and Munich.
In addition to the live broadcasts, Mediaset Infinity will provide simulcast coverage and supplementary NFL-related content, while editorial coverage will be reinforced through ElDesmarque and the sports programming of Telecinco and Cuatro, with analysis and weekly NFL-focused shows.
Executives from both companies highlighted the strategic value of the agreement as part of the NFL’s continued expansion in Spain, which the league considers one of its priority international markets.
