Announced days ago, the Turkish adaptation of the BBC Studios series will be distributed in Latin America by Madd Entertainment.

In early September, BBC Studios announced the sale of the format of its drama Doctor Foster to Turkey.

Starring Cansu Dere (Mother), the Turkish adaptation will be directed by Medyapim and will air on Kanal D.

And today the last piece of the puzzle was revealed: the series will be distributed internationally by Madd Entertainment in “a selection of territories” that includes Latin America, according to what ttvnews learned. They also include Asia, MENA and CEE.

The announcement was made by the distributor itself, which revealed that the international title of the series will be A Woman Scorned.

Doctor Foster was created by Mike Bartlett, produced by Drama Republic and broadcast on the BBC. Its international distribution is in charge of BBC Studios.

The series follows the story of a woman who discovers that her husband is cheating on her.

In addition to Cansu Dere, the Turkish version will star Caner Cindoruk (Woman).

Turkey becomes the fifth country to adapt the Doctor Foster format after India, France, Russia and South Korea. In Brazil it also had a local development, but so far it has not received the green light.
