Today at MipTV, Madd Entertainment, the world’s leading distributor of Turkish dramas, announced that the ongoing series Family Secrets was sold to Greece.

The series was already sold to Puerto Rico, the United States, Spain, Chile, MENA, Israel, Cyprus, Romania and Georgia. “This makes Family Secrets one of the fastest-selling drama series on the market today,” points out Madd in a press release.

Even after almost 30 episodes, Family Secrets remains a perennial Top 5 show in the competitive ABC+20 cohort in Turkey. The Ay Yapim series, broadcasted as Yargı on Kanal D, features Pınar Deniz (Wounded Love, Love 101) as Ceylin, a tough lawyer willing to bend the rules in the service of justice. Kaan Urgancıoğlu (Endless Love, Love 101) plays Ilgaz, a no-nonsense prosecutor who does everything by the book. The two of them mix like oil and water, but when Ilgaz’s brother is accused of murder, it’s Ceylin he goes to for help.

“Directed by Ali Bilgin (Medcezir, Brave and Beautiful) from an original story by Sema Ergenekon (Black Money Love), Family Secrets takes Turkish drama in a bold new direction,” affirms Madd Entertainment.

Synopsis

While she was still in law school, Ceylin’s father was framed for a crime he didn’t commit. There is the law and then there is justice, and ever since her father was sent to prison, Ceylin knows which side she’s on. Ceylin becomes a defense attorney and is known as a brave, dynamic and reckless advocate, respected by her peers but constantly in trouble with prosecutors and the police.

Ilgaz is a no-nonsense prosecutor who does everything by the book. His father is the well-respected chief of homicide of the Istanbul Police Department, and it’s from him that Ilgaz gets his incorruptible sense of right and wrong. For him, the law and justice are the same thing. So when Ceylin comes to him looking for back-channel info to help clear a client, Ilgaz throws her out of his office.

But after his brother is accused of murder, it’s Ceylin he goes to for help.
