The international distributor arrived at Natpe Miami following a series of deals in Latin America with Claro video, Grey Juice Lab and ViacomCBS Networks; as well as other sales in the international market.
Global distributor Kew Media Distribution has signed substantial deals across the US, Canada and LatAm ahead of Natpe Miami, where it is showcasing a number of outstanding drama, non-fiction and event series.
Claro video has acquired Line of Duty Seasons 1-5 for SVOD in LatAm, including Brazil, and Société Radio-Canada has also signed up Line of Duty Season 5 for TV and SVOD, and renewed Season 4 for SVOD. The French Canadian public broadcaster will also be airing three Agatha Films (Agatha and the Truth of Murder, Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar and Agatha and the Death of X) for TV/SVOD.
Grey Juice Lab, a leading global provider of premium content services, has signed two deals for SVOD; 219 episodes for Uruguay, including Line of Duty and Heartland, and 252 episodes for Dominican Republic, including Line of Duty, Heartland, Jack Taylor and The Great Train Robbery, amongst many others.
Further deals ahead of NATPE include the documentary Margaret Atwood: A Word After A Word After A Word is Power to ViacomCBS Networks Americas to air on Paramount Channel Latin America, 238 episodes of programming to Canada’s ZoomerMedia Limited for their channel ONETV – GET FIT including The Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp and Bulging Brides, and 111 episodes to Yes TV Canada for the renewal of Highway to Heaven.
AMC Networks’ streaming service Sundance Now has acquired psychological drama series Cold Call (4 x 60’), produced by Chalkboard for Channel 5, for US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America, with the premiere in US, Canada, Lat Am and Australia. Sundance Now has the rights in SVOD in all territories, and home video and download rights in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Further acquisitions by Sundance Now for the US and Canada include Aileen: Life & Death of a Serial Killer, Biggie and Tupac, Tales of the Grim Sleeper, Three Days in June, Soufra, Princess Diana: A Life After Death, Frackman, The Thread and Trumbo. This was part of a larger package of over 40 different titles picked up by Sundance Now for various territories including the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland.
AMC Networks, USA has acquired Seasons 1–4 of the award-winning drama series, Line of Duty, from World Productions, which takes a probing look into modern policing and police corruption, by award-winning writer Jed Mercurio (Bodyguard). The series has also been sold to Canadian streaming service CBC Gem, and renewed by Super Channel.
