In his new role at Hat Trick International, South will handle all sales to North and South America, Spain and Portugal. In addition, Hana Zidek will handle sales in France, while Cassandra Toller will cover UK and Germany.

Leading independent distributor Hat Trick International (HTI) announces a restructure of their sales team, as sales of formats, finished tape and strong dramas from Hat Trick Productions and major third-party producers continue to flourish.

Jonathan South, Senior Sales Executive, will handle all sales to North and South America, Spain and Portugal.

Jonathan joined the company last year from Electus, and prior to this, was SVP Europe at Televisa, and led EMEA distribution for A&E Networks, as well as holding senior acquisition roles in Sweden and Spain.

Jonathan has recently closed deals for a number of Hat Trick International’s programmes including George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces to Discovery/HGTV in North America and TVE Spain, Psychopath with Piers Morgan to Oxygen USA and Jed Mercurio’s new drama series, Bloodlands, starring James Nesbitt, to AMC Networks’ streaming service Acorn TV in North America.

Other recent sales in LatAm include Flack to MTV and Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan to Hola TV – deals that were secured by Senior Sales Executive, Elfyn Morris, who is now handling sales to Scandinavia. Elfyn previously looked after CEE territories, which have been taken over by James Mill, Sales and Marketing Executive.

Former VP Distribution at Gaumont International, Hana Zidek, has now added the role of Senior Sales Executive for sales to France alongside her Acquisitions Executive position. Cassandra Toller has been promoted to Senior Sales Executive and handles sales to UK and Germany.

Another recent addition to HTI is Alison Balch, Materials Manager, who joined the team in July to manage the materials department. Alison, who previously worked at Kew Media for 14 years working across recent titles such as the critically acclaimed Line of Duty and BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Leaving Neverland, will provide additional invaluable experience to the department.

Sarah Tong, Director of Sales at Hat Trick International, commented: “We’re delighted to have grown HTI’s sales team. With growth in both finished tape and format deals, and with big dramas like Bloodlands, and more in the pipeline, it is important to have such experienced team members across our sales and support operations.”
