Isabel to Air in LatAm on Amazon Prime Video

The long-awaited Chilean series, sold in the US to HBO Max, will air in Latin America through Amazon Prime Video. In Chile it will air on broadcast TV on Mega.

Amazon Prime Video and Mega Global Entertainment announced this Wednesday that Isabel, the long-awaited series based on the life of Isabel Allende, will air in Latin America on Amazon’s OTT platform.

In Chile, meanwhile, its broadcast will be on broadcast TV through Mega TV.

Isabel is a bioseries produced by Megamedia and starring Daniela Ramírez (Los archivos del Cardenal), which tells the story of the internationally acclaimed writer.

The cast is completed by Néstor Cantillana (Prófugos) as Isabel’s first husband, Miguel Frías; Rodolfo Pulgar (La Negra Ester) as Isabel’s paternal grandfather, Agustín Llona; and Rosario Zamora (Doña Beija and Felicidad) as Isabel’s mother, Francisca Llona.

The series was produced by Isabel Miquel and directed by Rodrigo Bazaes.

The story focuses on the struggle and passion of Allende who, willing to break the social rules of the time in order to achieve his happiness, that of his loved ones and do justice to the political conflicts in which he is involved, finds in literature an escape route to heal and rediscover oneself.

Already sold to the US to HBO Max, the series is distributed by internationally by Mega Global Entertainment.
