Can Okan, CEO of the Turkish distributor was present in Lille for this year’s Series Mania to look for new opportunities for the company’s catalogue, both in terms of distribution and co-production, especially for miniseries.

Some time ago, Inter Medya innovated in the Turkish drama genre with the introduction of its New Generation Turkish Series, short dramas that differ from the classic Turkish melodramas.
It is with this product that the distributor arrived at Series Mania in search of new opportunities and alliances in the European market.
“We are very happy to be here because we believe it will open the doors to the Western European market for us,” Can Okan, CEO of Inter Medya, told ttvnews. “Especially for our New Generation Turkish Series, which is what we call miniseries produced for OTT platforms,” he added.
The executive also revealed that Inter Medya is currently working on various co-productions. “Two of them are classic long Turkish dramas and two are more of a miniseries style, 6-8 episodes 20-45 minutes long,” the CEO explained.
“In this market we look for potential production and co-production partners for these projects,” he added.
“On the first day everything has been fantastic and we are very pleased,” he concluded.
