The live action series expands the Dutch distributor’s strong kids’ content slate.

Dutch Sales Company Incredible Film has boarded Phanta Basta’s young children’s live action series Saïd & Anna (16×6,5′) expanding the company’s strong kids live action slate.

The series features Saïd (6) and Anna (7), who are best friends. Every day after school, they hang out around The Repair Shop of Saïd’s parents. While broken things from the locals are given a new life by using the right tools, the children figure out how to fix their own ‘problems’, in their own, creative way.

The Saïd and Anna series is all about investigating, inventing, discovering, tinkering, repairing, trying again and resolving. The theme of the series is aptly captured by the premise ‘Everything deserves a second chance’. The series implicitly encourages young children to think about how we deal with things and deal with each other.

The feel-good series is a ‘kids in charge’ story par excellence and depicts Saïd and Anna in their strengths and talents. The young viewer gets to experience every adventure through the eyes of Saïd and Anna. They know what is at stake and, like Saïd and Anna, experience the fun and excitement of every episode.

Principal Photography starts this year on April 28 with a world première on International Repair Day, Saturday, October 21st, 2023. Broadcasters EO/NPO, SWR, KiKA and Ketnet came on board as co-production partners and will air the series starting from October 2023 in the Netherlands. Also German’s Indi Film is appointed as co-production partner.

Daniëlle Raaphorst – CEO Incredible Film, said: “This fun, adventures series has lots of room for humor. The stories are about friendship, but more importantly about thinking in terms of solutions. We are very proud to have the series Saïd and Anna on board and we are very much looking forward to presenting it to our clients.”
