The telenovela will make its debut on Imagen TV on February 8th at 7:30 pm.

One of Globo’s great successes the telenovela Sweet Diva will premiere on the next 8th day on the Imagen Televisión channel in Mexico, at 7:30 pm. Currently shown in countries like the United States, Puerto Rico and Bolivia, the work promises to continue gaining public – this time, the Mexicans – with its narrative that talks about courage, hope and overcoming with optimism.

Written by Walcyr Carrasco (Hidden Truths) has a powerful cast, composed of actresses Juliana Paes (Total Dreamer), Paolla Oliveira (Edge of Desire) and Fernanda Montenegro (The Other Side of Paradise) – Oscar nominated actress and International Emmy winner. The plot also features striking villains such as the character played by actress Agatha Moreira (Hidden Truths) and actor Reynaldo Gianecchini (Family Ties), in addition to the pioneering case of real interaction of an influencer character with the public through social media

Directed by Amora Mautner (Brazil Avenue), Sweet Diva tells the story of Maria da Paz (Juliana Paes), a dedicated baker who becomes a wealthy businesswoman twenty years after a tragedy on her wedding day with Amadeu (Marcos Palmeira). From this union, which ends in separation, a baby is born, Jô, who seeks power and despises her mother’s humble origins. Afraid that her parents’ reunion could ruin her plans, Jô (Agatha Moreira) starts an alliance with the charming Regis (Reynaldo Gianecchini) to convince Maria to marry him and together they plan to steal Maria’s entire fortune. In this exciting telenovela, the protagonist’s optimism must be stronger than Jô’s ambition when the baker discovers her own daughter’s betrayal and dangerous secrets.

In the production, the digital influencer Vivi Guedes, character of Paolla Oliveira, was an important milestone in the history of dramaturgy. The @estiloviviguedes, the character’s official profile on social media, brought fiction closer to real life and won over 2.5 million followers in Brazil, who were able to interact with the character throughout the plot. In the United States, with the production currently showing on the Univision channel, the profile @estiloviviguedes_us is on the air, which also engages the viewers of the channel who are following the telenovela.

Aired in 2019 in Brazil and launched on the international market at the beginning of last year, the telenovela reached 55.4 million Brazilians in its final chapter, breaking the audience record of the plot and causing a real commotion on social networks: reached 48 terms on the most talked subjects on Twitter, 19 of which are featured on the World Trending Topics.
