Sallent has been CEO of the Mediapro Group headquarters in Colombia and Italy.
The Mediapro Studio announced on Monday the appointment of Eugeni Sallent as Head for Latin America.
With extensive experience in international content management and extensive background in the audiovisual sector, Sallent will be in charge of all the studio’s offices and production projects in the region and will report to Marta Ezpeleta, head of International Offices, Distribution, Co-productions and Acquisitions of The Mediapro Studio.
“Eugeni is a great professional, highly recognized in the sector, with great relationships in the creative community and an excellent bond with our partners and clients. We are delighted to be able to count on him to lead our operation in Latin America. We have managed to be a decisive player in the region with numerous projects already released and in production. With Eugeni, we continue our expansion and growth in all these territories, especially in Mexico, with important production objectives in fiction and non-fiction,” commented Laura Fernández Espeso, general director of The Mediapro Studio.

A computer engineer and MBA, Sallent has been CEO of Mediapro Colombia and Mediapro Italia (with responsibility for the delegations of Greece, Turkey and Slovenia), and previously director of Televisió de Catalunya (TV3) and RAC1.
During his tenure in Colombia, Sallent promoted an audiovisual production center with more than 4,000 m2 equipped for the production of entertainment programs and fiction projects and established strategic agreements with operators in the region such as Viacom (Yo soy Franky, Noobees or Club 57) and ESPN in its programming produced from Colombia.
