Premiering on May 17 on TV Azteca, the format’s first live 24/7 version will introduce a fully integrated broadcast, a 24/7 stream via Disney+ and a digital ecosystem.

EndemolShine Boomdog, part of Banijay Americas, today announced the premiere of MasterChef 24/7 in Mexico, marking the first live 24/7 version in the history of Banijay Entertainment’s culinary competition franchise.

The launch introduces a fully integrated broadcast, a 24/7 stream via Disney+ and a digital ecosystem designed to expand audience access while retaining the franchise’s core DNA of culinary excellence, which has been changing lives for decades.

Premiering May 17 on TV Azteca, MasterChef México 24/7 positions the brand within the premium non-fiction space through structured access to the competition process. For the first time, contestants will live, train and compete under one roof in a purpose-built environment designed to elevate technique, mentorship and professional development. The format increases transparency around the discipline and craft required to succeed, shifting the focus from observation to skill-based progression.

Represented internationally by Banijay Entertainment, MasterChef is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s most successful cookery television format. With more than 70 local adaptations and over 700 seasons produced, the franchise continues to demonstrate durability, adaptability, and cultural relevance across markets. The Mexico launch establishes an innovative new way to extend the format into a continuous, multi-platform ecosystem.

The new version features continuous live streaming across digital platforms alongside six days a week of live broadcast programming at TV Azteca. Two-hour primetime episodes air Monday through Friday, with a three-hour Sunday broadcast anchored by the Grand Elimination Challenge. Digital audiences can follow training sessions, technical instruction, team challenges and judges deliberations in real-time. Each weekday centers on a defined culinary test, including the MasterChef Mystery Box, technical pressure challenges, team competitions, creativity focused assignments and a Salvation Challenge.

Fronted by MasterChef Mexico’s host, Claudia Lizaldi, and judges Chef Adrián Herrera, Chef Zahie Téllez and Chef Poncho Cadena, the series integrates masterclasses and guest chefs representing traditional Mexican cuisine, pastry, molecular gastronomy and contemporary culinary disciplines. The structure reinforces professional level expectations while broadening gastronomic access for audiences.

“MasterChef has sustained global relevance because it evolves without compromising its core,” said Frank Scheuermann, Chief Content Officer of EndemolShine Boomdog. “This model expands access to the process while protecting the integrity of the competition as viewers gain greater visibility into mentorship, technique, and progression.”

Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations at Banijay Entertainment, adds: “The strength of the MasterChef brand means we can adapt and scale while still delivering the creativity, warmth and aspirational food storytelling audiences love. MasterChef 24/7 will give viewers unprecedented access to the inner workings of the MasterChef journey, forging a greater connection with the show’s community across linear and digital platforms.”
