The distributor will open international presales for the new Kino Film Productions series ahead of its November premiere in Turkey. Filming is set to begin on October 17.
Eccho Rights will launch Asiye, a new daily drama produced by Kino Film Productions for Turkish broadcaster Kanal 7, at Mipcom 2026. International presales will open ahead of the series’ planned November premiere, with filming scheduled to begin on October 17.
The series marks the latest addition to Eccho Rights’ long-standing partnership with Kanal 7, which has delivered international titles including Legacy, Winds of Love and Behind the Veil. The latter became the highest-rated daily drama ever broadcast in Turkey and is currently in its fourth season.
Asiye follows a woman who, seven years earlier, lost her husband, her newborn son and her freedom on the same day. After being released from prison, she saves a drowning boy outside the home of one of Istanbul’s most powerful families, unaware that he is the son she believed she would never see again.
The series is directed by Taner Tunç and Nuh Şen, both of whom previously worked on Legacy. The cast is led by Esengül Aypek as Asiye and Ferhat Işıktaş as İlyas.
“Kanal 7 knows exactly how to produce daily drama with international appeal, and Asiye has the elements that made Behind the Veil and Legacy international successes: a mother’s love, a hidden truth and a powerful family with plenty to conceal,” said Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights.
Özkubat also highlighted the directing team’s experience in the genre, noting that Mipcom offers buyers an opportunity to secure the highly anticipated series ahead of its premiere.
