The list includes Alıkara, Doors of Destiny and The Florist.
International distributor Eccho Rights has acquired international distribution rights to three new Turkish drama series from TOD, the streaming platform owned by beIN Media Group.
All three titles will be presented to buyers at Mipcom in Cannes.
The new slate spans romantic thriller, psychological drama, and romantic comedy. It is Eccho Rights’ latest collaboration with TOD, following the crime drama Beneath the Surface and the high-concept romance Another Chance. Eccho Rights holds worldwide distribution rights.
The first title is Alıkara (10 x 45′), which premiered on TOD earlier this month and has already generated strong audience interest and encouraging early momentum. It is produced by Karga Seven Pictures, the company behind Beneath the Surface. The series stars Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı in an intense love story set against a backdrop of crime and grief. Işık is a gifted forensic psychologist living with bipolar disorder. Deniz is a homicide detective hardened by past trauma. When Işık’s father disappears and Deniz investigates his niece’s suspicious death, their paths cross in a morgue. As the two are drawn deeper into darkness together, each becomes the other’s refuge — two damaged people slowly making each other whole.
Doors of Destiny (Zamanın Kapıları, 20 x 45′) marks Eccho Rights’ first collaboration with leading Turkish producer Medyapım. It stars Esra Bilgiç and Birkan Sokullu. Sinan is a brilliant, reclusive computer genius whose life changes when he meets Nevra, the ambitious daughter of one of Türkiye’s most powerful businessmen. Their encounter unlocks buried secrets about Nevra’s identity and family. Their growing attraction then draws them into a passionate relationship — and into a world of betrayal, violence and the darker side of Istanbul.
Completing the slate is The Florist (Çiçekçi Kız, 13 x 25’). This romantic comedy from OM Content stars Helin Kandemir and Hakan Çelebi, and premieres on TOD in November. It follows an idealistic flower-shop owner who, in a bid to save her business, unknowingly takes on an undercover police officer as her new partner.
Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, said: “Our partnership with TOD keeps getting stronger, and this slate shows exactly why. Buyers today want very different things, from linear broadcasters to streamers to digital platforms, and these three series cover that range. There’s premium, cast-led drama in Alıkara and Doors of Destiny, and something fresh and fun in The Florist. We can’t wait to share all three with buyers at Mipcom.”
Yadigar Belbuken, VP Entertainment at beIN Media Group, said: “Eccho Rights has been an important partner in bringing TOD Studios originals to international audiences, and we value their continued support in taking titles such as Beneath the Surface and Another Chance to global buyers. These three new series reflect the breadth and ambition of the original content we are developing at TOD, and we are looking forward to introducing them to global buyers and audiences around the world.”
