The award-winning Russian drama has been sold to two broadcasters in Spain and one in the Czech Republic.

With three successful seasons and a fourth in production award-winning Russian series Silver Spoon has been sold recently to Czech Republic and to two clients in Spain.

Produced by Sreda Production Company the series was broadcast in Russia to huge success on Channel One and has won various awards, amongst them Best Television Mini-Series from the Russian Association of Film and Television Producers as well as Best Russian TV series Of the Year at the 2015 Russian National Movie Awards.

Silver Spoon tells the story of spoiled millionaire-son Igor, whose father gets tired of his irresponsible behavior. He decides to teach him a lesson, cuts him off financially and gets him a job at the local police station. Surprisingly, it turns out that Igor has a real talent for police work and starts to become a valuable asset to the team. Until he is confronted with a shocking discovery. His mother’s suicide was staged and the main suspect behind the tragedy is his own father.

The series has sold widely as a ready-made title and was the first Russian drama to be optioned for a remake in South Korea by producer Supermoon Pictures.
