Mexican producer Dopamine announced a deal with DRG, the distribution arm of NENT Studios, to co-finance, co-develop and co-produce fiction content in English.

Dopamine, the Mexican studio owned by Grupo Salinas, announced an agreement with DRG, a distribution company located in the United Kingdom that belongs to NENT Studios, by which both companies will co-finance, co-develop and co-produce fiction content in English.

“From day one, Dopamine has grown with the vision to create content that works in a global environment, from Mexico to the world. This new alliance with DRG allows us to strengthen and accelerate our strategy of creating and producing also in Europe and in the English language, for international channels and platforms. Without a doubt, it will be a great experience in many ways. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with DRG,” commented Fidela Navarro, CEO of Dopamine.

Richard Halliwell, CEO of DRG and CEO of NENT Studios UK, added: “Dopamine is a very special company in the fast-moving Latin American fiction landscape, and we are excited that this studio has chosen DRG to create English language fictions. Dopamine is already producing excellent content in the Spanish language and this collaboration will support the company’s global reach, while providing us with the talent of its team, its unique ability to tell stories with differential, access to investment and, of course, a better understanding of the Latin American market.”

As they announced, both companies are already preparing their first series in English.
