Thanks to original programs such as the fiction #PobreNovio and The Covers contest, the network was the leader once again, leaving Chilevisión in second place.

Since March 2021, the leadership of audiences in Chilean broadcast TV has been disputed. It was then that Chilevisión managed to end Mega’s 79 uninterrupted months as the most watched channel, and then began a monthly head-to-head fight.

Chilevisión continued to win, but Mega renewed its grid and the results came.

Now, the final data between August 1 and 31 confirm that Mega was the preferred channel for Chileans.

With 8.3 average rating points, it comfortably beat the next ViacomCBS channel, which closed with 7.6 points. Then, TVN, with 5.5 units, and Canal 13, with 5.0.

Among the new Mega programming, the launch of the original productions #PobreNovio and The Covers, a tribute to the stars, stand out. In addition, Brazil’s Dulce Ambición and Turkey’s Çukur joined in August.

The most viewed on Mega in August were: Edificio Corona and #PobreNovio, with a rating of 19.3 each; Meganoticias Prime and Meganoticias Reportajes, with 15 points each; The Covers, tribute to the stars, with 14; and the fiction Demente, with 13 points.
