Beta Film, one of Europe’s leading producers and distributors, is strengthening its business in Turkey. To reinforce production and distribution activities in South-East Europe, Beta Film appoints former BluTV executive Sarp Kalfaoğlu as the company’s representative in Istanbul.

Kalfaoğlu has formerly served as producer and later as Head of Drama at BluTV, the leading platform for Turkish TV series internationally, where he specialized in the strategic and creative process of scouting and producing original series.

On the brink of Europe and Asia, the Turkish production industry has experienced a boom during recent years, developing a strong and competitive production landscape with significant international potential.

Beta’s recent Turkish series, Persona, with International Emmy awarded Haluk Bilginer has been sold to numerous territories, among others to Germany’s Telekom Magenta TV as the first Turkish series in Germany ever. A deal with an US platform is to be disclosed shortly.
