Banijay Americas, Endemol Shine Boomdog and A Fábrica have joined forces to launch this new division, a premier content studio in Mexico City.

Highlighting the strengths and strategic initiatives of Banijay Americas, Endemol Shine Boomdog and A Fábrica have joined forces to launch A Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, a premier content studio in Mexico City dedicated to driving creativity and innovation in scripted storytelling, with a focus on developing and producing original Spanish-language content.

A Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic will begin operations this year and represents a significant step in Banijay Americas’ strategic growth.

Led by Luiz Noronha, CEO of Rio de Janeiro-based A Fábrica, which has produced many of Brazil’s top scripted series and films, the new studio aims to expand audiences by bridging creative narratives from Mexico and the U.S. Hispanic market.

A Fábrica joined Banijay Americas in December 2022, the studio under Noronha’s direction is dedicated to amplifying local talent and delivering authentic, high-quality stories with global appeal.

“The opportunity to meet and work for the Spanish-speaking market is invaluable for any producer, and the challenge fills us with great energy,” says Noronha. “We are working on a powerful pipeline of projects ranging from sitcoms to telenovelas, bringing together the talent and expertise of Brazil and Mexico.”

A Fabrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic joins Endemol Shine Boomdog Group, a Mexico City-based production company led by Alejandro Rincón, which produces many of the most-watched Spanish-language series in both the United States and Mexico through its companies: Endemol Shine Boomdog, Banijay Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, Wide Angle and now Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic.

Endemol Shine Boomdog and its scripted content team, as well as its current series and projects in development, will be part of A Fabrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic. Jerry Rodriguez, who has led the scripted content team, will continue to be the head of operations for the new studio reporting to Noronha.

“We have seen a clear desire for high-quality scripted content in the Spanish-speaking market, and series like Como Agua Para Chocolate can quickly become hits for major streamers and networks,” said Alejandro Rincón, CEO of Endemol Shine Boomdog Group.

“The A Fábrica team has proven for years that it can successfully develop and produce scripted programming in Portuguese, and we are excited to join forces with them to launch A Fábrica Mexico & U.S. Hispanic, a new entity that will boost our scripted efforts in the region.”

Ben Samek, CEO of Banijay Americas, added: “This partnership expands our presence in the scripted content market and underscores our commitment to delivering engaging programming to a massive and ever-growing audience in Latin America and beyond.”

With the launch of A Fábrica México, Banijay Americas is now comprised of 11 leading production companies across North and South America. The Banijay Americas group in the U.S. includes Endemol Shine North America, Bunim/Murray Productions, Truly Original, 51 Minds Entertainment and BD4.
