The distributor will also highlight other formats like Pet Detectives and The Extra Mile.

Armoza Formats, part of ITV Studios, has unveiled its new slate for Fall 2022 with new formats that put family at the center by highlighting different members of the family in each format – from parents and children, pensioners and even pets.

From Montreux Film, in The Fittest Pensioner (60’, pictured above), 10 of the nation’s fittest seniors move into a home together, for a fierce competition where they will face multiple challenges. To claim the title, they will compete in both mental and physical challenges, aiming to perform their best and get a high ranking. The person with the lowest score will be up for elimination, battling it out to save their spot in the house. Who will be crowned the fittest pensioner? The format recently aired on TV2 Norway where it raised the average share by 20% and beat all other reality shows on the channel by 171%. The grand finale was a nationwide TV event, breaking a record of 43% share with the 10-39 key commercial target and generated an outstanding 3 million views on TV2’s social media pages.

From Armoza Formats, comes new factual entertainment format Parents Unfiltered (60’). Though there are many “experts” out there, raising children is a challenge for everyone… so who will understand parenting better than other parents! The format exposes the unfiltered reality as three sets of parents get the unique chance to see their parenting style and family from the outside. After filming their lives for a week, the parents will sit together with an expert and watch each other’s home videos – the family fun and the family feuds. It will also be the first time that their children share their thoughts. The parents will support, criticize, and consult with each other as they expose the highs and lows of modern parenting. Will this new lens give them a new perspective?

From Armoza Formats and Ian Stevenson (Bondi Beach Productions), Pet Detectives (60’) is a new factual entertainment format! Every year, thousands of pets are lost or stolen, leaving their owners devastated and with no one to turn to. But don’t worry… the Pet Detectives are now on the case! In this heart-warming factual entertainment format, which is based on a real-life global trend, a team of pet-finding specialists focus on the first 24-hours after a pet goes missing to try to bring them home. In each episode we follow three different stories, packed with drama and emotion. Using real life crime-solving methods, the team will search for the missing pet, but will there be a happy reunion? The format was a finalist at Armoza Formats’ annual pitch competition, Formagination, which took place at the Realscreen Summit.

From Studio Glam, in The Extra Mile (60-90’) 10 divorced couples, with shared children, embark on a life-changing experience in this reality competition to see who among them can let go of their past and work together to win a grand prize – not for them, but for their children. After moving in to a luxurious villa, the ex-couples will face their past by living together and competing in both individual and couples challenges.  Putting their skills and communication to the test, the exes must work together to avoid elimination. Which set of exes will succeed at putting their history aside to win the cash towards their children’s futures?

It was also recently announced that Exceptional, which was launched as part of Armoza’s Miptv slate has been nominated at this year’s Mipcom Diversify TV Awards. The scripted series is nominated in the Representation of Disability – Scripted category.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats: “We are coming to Mipcom this year with dynamic and creative formats that addresses all members of the family – making them ideal for family viewing. Whether it’s a factual entertainment format that puts a new perspective on parenting, a reality competition that highlights a rarely celebrated group – pensioners – in a new and fun way or the real favorite family members, the pets, as we follow the emotional journey to find missing ones – we look forward to sharing these new formats with our clients, both in Cannes and our continued virtual meetings.”
